SUMMARY The Country Managing Director will lead the Country operations of the Region. Position has P&L responsibility for manufacturing operations, sales and marketing, applications engineering, finance, quality, purchasing, business development and human resources for the country.
JOB DESCRIPTIONManage group's businesses in the country, establishing goals and procedures for each unit, with a view to attain the objectives determined by the Company globally and divisionally.Responsible for area's budget as well as for the Medium Term Plan (MTP); monthly, quarterly and annual reviews are conducted to track results.Assure the operational activities, strategies and company guidelines are in compliance with targets: safety, cash flow, operating profit, inventory turns, reductions of PPM and continuous improvement savings.Establish operational and financial goals for each location/COY (cost center) in the country, in accordance with Company's goals and strategy.Act jointly and meets systematically with business managers to evaluate performance and financial results of business against budget and short term forecast (STF).Efficiently use company resources according to the purpose to which they were intended.Evaluate the risks resulting from business operations and make the necessary decisions to minimize them.Determine investment priorities and obtains corporate support and approval for them.Looks for and evaluates business opportunities within the area.Enforces policies and ensures they are strictly followed within the country.Preparation of a detailed monthly activity report in accordance with company guidelines.Prepare and develop product contribution analysis with the manufacturing plants in order to drive contribution improvements.Keep corporate team informed on status of the marketplace and effectively identify and address any potential risk factors with respect to ensuring MTP business growth.Develop and build a cooperative relationship with other Company operations globally and within the region.Establish and maintain relationships with trade and professional associations to keep informed on developments within the industry. REQUIREMENTSBachelor's Degree in engineering, business, or equivalent, Master's Degree in business, management, or equivalent preferred.Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.Excellent English skills both verbal and written.Ability to work in an unstructured and frequently changing environment.High degree of self-motivation.Understanding of and ability to work with various aspects of the business.At least 5 years of experience in a similar role.Previous automotive OEM/Tier I industry experience is essential.Ability to travel globally.
