.**Flo Networks **is a leading provider of telecommunications services between the United States and Mexico. We provide voice and data services to Fortune 1000 companies, telecommunications and cable companies through a fiber optic network that extends for 35,000 km between both countries.We are looking for an **OSP Field Construction Engineer **in Tijuana, Baja California, Mexico. This is a temporary project based position for a term of up to 24 months.**The role**:**Responsibilities**:- Perform relocations and site surveys.- OSP staking, work order package preparation including but not limited to field notes, cut sheets, schematics, and acquiring permits and private rights-of-way.- OSP design, planning, and construction.- Engineering of line extensions for service order activity, pole replacements facility installations, and facility relocation.- Have the ability to perform a cost analysis to determine the most cost-effective and efficient manner of the placement of communications facilities.- Responsible for the coordination of contract resources for the safe, timely and efficient construction of telecommunications facilities to meet delivery timelines, and adherence to all standards of the underlying right-of-way owners.- Monitor construction resources (contractors, materials, etc.) required are available in the field and communicate back to the Project Management Team so adjustments can be made.- Review and verify the status of all construction activity updates provided by the contractors and construction supervisors to ensure accurate reporting.- Communicate status of projects to interested parties as required.- Participate in various types of construction meetings as required.- Proper disposition of "As-Built" information.- Performs routine emergency restoration.- Adheres to company prescribed safety policies.- Promote a positive image of Flo Networks.- Promotes safety in the workplace for both contract and employees.**Requirements**:- Five (5) or more years of experience in telecommunications outside plant construction and fieldwork.- Experience performing site surveys, and CAD knowledge.- Experience in a multi-tasking, results-oriented position in a deadline-focused department.- Experience in underground outside plant design, permitting and construction experience is required.- Experience in aerial outside plant design, permitting and construction a plus.- Driver's license required.- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.- Strong communication and computer skills.- Must be able to work with mínimal supervision for designated areas.- Willingness to work in the field. Position will require 75% to 85% of time working out in the right-of-way monitoring contractor operations, meeting with existing infrastructure owners, assisting in problem solving with field construction supervisors.- Bilingual - Fluent in English and Spanish
