The L1 OT Engineer is key to our Managed Services Provider (MSP) and Managed Security Services Provider (MSSP) operations, responsible for supporting and maintaining IT systems, troubleshooting issues, and implementing solutions to ensure reliable and secure processes. This role involves executing support tickets, maintaining system integrity, managing user accounts, and resolving issues across new and existing customer facilities to uphold high standards of operational integrity and security. Role and ResponsibilitiesManage and monitor remote networks and systems including user provisioning, system upgrades, patching, and performance monitoring.Perform routine management and troubleshooting of backup and recovery services, file and disk management, and virus protection.Maintain multi-user systems by coordinating with vendors, operational personnel, and IT management.Implement and administer computing environments in power generation facilities, focusing on systems, networks, security, and storage solutions.Evaluate and improve host, system, and network configurations for optimal performance and compliance.Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and policies, ensuring consistent application across projects.Review and edit Access Control Lists, security policies, and logs to uphold cybersecurity standards.Participate in the planning and execution of hardware and software upgrades based on thorough evaluation of vendor offerings and customer needs.Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation to support ongoing operations.Report on the status of all tasks and projects, ensuring timely communication and documentation.Attending necessary staff and client meetings to maintain alignment and address issues promptly.Available to work occasional after-hours shifts to perform specific operational tasks.Develop and document technical processes and procedures, ensuring knowledge transfer and compliance.Effective communication at all organizational levels with both internal and external customers.
