As an OB Area Manager, you will have the opportunity to lead and develop your own team of Amazon Associates in a distribution warehouse environment. Your main focus will be motivating, mentoring and coaching your team. As a servant leader, the OB Area Manager will ensure that their team of Amazon Associates have all the tools needed to succeed for any task during a shift. Engaging with your team during a shift to ensure that the highest levels of safety, quality, attendance performance and engagement are maintained are core functions of the role. As an OB Area Manager, you will be in charge of part of the operation of our work centers during an assigned shift. These operations involve the management of human, technological and physical resources to ensure the correct execution of the daily operation plan aligned with results.

Job RequirementsThis role is fully onsite and requires flexibility to work and rotate shifts: weekends, holidays, and/or overnight shifts.Ability to work overtime both in peak season and as needed. Key Job ResponsibilitiesDay-to-day management of the site, overseeing the operation that focuses on the delivery of Amazon orders direct to customers.Lead a direct/indirect team to ensure that you have a safe work place, properly trained people, and that their needs are addressed so they can focus on their jobs.Support and assign job duties to process assistants.Communicate policies to Associates and act as the primary information source for the team, maintaining compliance, consistency, and taking corrective action when needed.Create, manage, and support recognition and communication programs.Ensure procedures are followed for building security and product loss prevention.Partner with the management team to establish and maintain quality control standards.Develop performance goals and objectives to achieve customer demand and ensure accuracy and quality. Continuous Improvement PillarPropose, plan and execute continuous improvement strategies that seek continuous operational efficiency.

Industrial Safety PillarDuring the shift, you are the main person in charge of safeguarding the well-being of the personnel under your charge, being directly or indirectly hired by the company.

Operational PillarReview the operational forecast and determine productivity requirements for the operation.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONSBachelor's Degree or 2+ years Amazon experience.3+ years of general experience.2+ years of employee and performance management experience.English and Spanish proficiency. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS1+ years of performance metrics, process improvement or lean techniques experience.Understanding of data warehousing and data modeling.Experience in data visualization platforms (e.g. Tableau, PowerBI, Quicksight).
