Job Summary: We are seeking an Acquisition Outreach Analyst to develop a pipeline of service business owners ready to sell. The ideal candidate will possess M&A or private equity (PE) experience, including strong analytical skills to evaluate business opportunities before engaging company leadership. This role involves conducting outreach campaigns via email, phone, and LinkedIn to prequalify leads, ensuring alignment with company Ventures' acquisition strategy.
Key Responsibilities: Research & Financial Analysis: Identify HVAC, plumbing, electrical, roofing, and property management companies with positive EBITDA.
Build and maintain a database of business owners of retirement age using online directories, LinkedIn, trade associations, and business databases.
Conduct preliminary financial analysis by evaluating P&L, balance sheet, and income statements to assess profitability, risks, and operational performance. Build financial models incorporating debt structures, growth assumptions, and key risk variables that impact the deal's integrity. Assess cash flow projections, leverage ratios, and interest coverage to ensure the feasibility of financing and identify potential risks. Provide scenario analysis to determine the impact of market fluctuations, operational changes, or other variables on long-term financial outcomes before engaging company leadership.
Outbound Campaigns & Lead Qualification: Develop and execute personalized email, phone, and LinkedIn campaigns to engage target business owners.
Use financial insights to tailor outreach messages, demonstrating company´s ability to offer fair valuations and smooth transitions.
Assess business owner interest, readiness to retire, and alignment with acquisition criteria.
Schedule exploratory calls for company leadership with qualified owners.
Collaboration & CRM Management: Coordinate with company´s acquisition and due diligence teams to transition high-potential leads.
Track all outreach activities, responses, and status updates in Salesforce.com or similar CRMs.
Provide insights on campaign performance and suggest improvements to enhance lead conversion.
Key Qualifications: Experience: 3+ years in M&A, private equity, investment banking, or business development.
Experience in evaluating business opportunities, analyzing financial statements, and assessing risks.
Familiarity with commercial service industries (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, roofing, or property management) is preferred.
Bachelor's degree in finance, business, economics, or a related field.
Skills: Strong financial modeling and analytical abilities with experience in P&L, income statement, and balance sheet analysis.
Proficiency in Salesforce.com or similar CRM tools to manage outreach activities.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills to engage business owners and build rapport.
Ability to manage multiple outreach campaigns efficiently and follow through on leads.
