Main tasks:Demonstrate expertise on design, modeling and technical specs of packaging material for handling and transportation in accordance with the need and shape of aerospace products.The packaging engineer will be responsible for the design and development of the returnable and consumable packaging of the new and existing products our company provides, protection and optimization of the transportation method, searching, negotiating and maintaining communication with packaging suppliers while seeking continuous improvement, quality and security problem solving. Work hand in hand with the engineering support to develop packaging plans for the finished product as well as coordinate and report performance tests pursuant to their needs and requirements. Define packaging specifications for each product and continually evaluate packaging inputs and outputs to identify cost-saving opportunities.Other relevant activities include changes in layout and/or new process proposals. Apply and implement lean manufacturing techniques on continuous improvement projects, conduct safety and ergonomics analysis, analyze and optimize manufacturing processes, coordinate equipment delivery to production, and perform analysis activities for customer satisfaction.Description and Requirements:Bachelor's degree in manufacturing, Engineering, Packaging Engineering, or Logistics. Manufacturing process knowledge in structural areas.5+ years of experience in packing projects or similar positions.Lean Manufacturing & Project management experience focusing on managing multiple stakeholders.Strong communication skills, teamwork, and discipline commitment.Results-oriented and execution. Presentations and good communication skills with an 80% English level.Experience with CAD and technical drawings software.Demonstrated experience in the usage of lean tools such as 5'S, RPS, VSM.Understanding of packaging testing and validation.ISOS NOMs certifications; methodology ISTA knowledge.Implementation of improvements focused on efficiency and quality.Visa / availability to travel.Usage of Tops / CAPE PACK software, Mckee formula, and corrugated cardboard compression schemes.#J-18808-Ljbffr
