**Job Summary**
**Responsibilities**
- Manages all aspects of the engineering relationship with key suppliers for the AMS regional development and manufacturing of packaging components for both the PS and Print businesses.
- Reviews and evaluates supplier product designs, processes, and activities for compliance with company manufacturing guidelines, quality processes, and standards; provides tangible feedback based on results to improve product quality and mitigate risk of product failure.
- Manages the identification, access, acquisition, and supply of designated commodities, and manages the relationship, contract development, and contract execution with the supplier of such commodities.
- Assists in resolving purchasing and procurement-related issues between factories and vendors.
- Leads overall engineering and customer feedback analysis processes for supplier products; communicates and collaborates with management, internal, and outsourced suppliers, manufacturing, and development partners to develop and implement changes to product or process to reduce defects, improve quality, and lower costs.
- Directly places, processes, and follows up on orders to expedite and ensure timely delivery to meet project schedules.
- Develops and implements ways to measure supplier performance to drive continuous improvement.
- Provides advanced domain-specific expertise and overall procurement engineering leadership and perspective to cross-organization projects, programs, and activities.
- Drives innovation and integration of new supplier technologies and company quality initiatives into product design and manufacturing.
- Provides guidance and mentoring to less experienced staff members.
**Education & Experience** Recommended**
- Four-year or Graduate Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.
- Typically has 7-10 years of work experience, preferably in purchasing/ sourcing, planning, project management, compliance and quality assurance, supplier relationship management, or a related field.
