Moctezuma Medjool Gardens in San Luis, Rio Colorado, Sonora, Mexico is looking for a Packing house General Manager who will be Responsible for the direction and comprehensive administration of the agricultural company dedicated to the packaging of dates. Duties and ResponsibilitiesDevelop and execute long-term strategic plans that ensure the company's growth and future viability.Align packaging operations with corporate objectives and goals.Direct packaging operations, ensuring efficiency and quality in the product preparation process for the market.Manage the annual budget, ensuring cost control and resource optimization.Maximize revenue and minimize operating costs to ensure the company's profitability and financial growth.Continuously improve packaging processes to increase efficiency and productivity, ensuring high product quality.Monitor the company's financial performance, implementing corrective measures when necessary.Lead and develop the workforce, fostering a positive and productive work environment.Ensure ongoing staff training in sustainable and efficient packaging techniques.Ensure all products comply with quality and food safety standards, as well as local and international regulations.Implement and maintain quality management and product traceability systems.Establish and maintain relationships with customers, distributors, and other business partners.Implement sustainability initiatives that reduce the environmental impact of packaging operations.Develop and lead a competent and motivated team, ensuring ongoing training and professional development for staff.Foster technological innovation and continuous improvement in all areas of the packing facility to maintain a competitive edge.Represent the company before governmental and community entities.Manage public relations and external communication to enhance the company's corporate image.All activities related to the position or any activity according to the company's needs.Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in Agronomy, Business Administration or related.Master's degree (MBA or similar) preferred.Fully bilingual English/Spanish.Skills/Job SkillsDemonstrated experience of 10 years in senior management roles.Demonstrated experience in managing large teams and diverse functional areas.Deep knowledge of agricultural practices, packaging operations, and marketing of agricultural products.Demonstrated leadership, financial management skills, ability to develop and execute strategies, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.Experience with Microsoft Office programs, especially Microsoft Excel.Familiarity with business management tools and ERP software.Problem-solving skills, conflict management, and decision-making skills.Strategic Leadership: Ability to envision and direct the future of the company.Results-Oriented: Focus on achieving and exceeding goals and objectives.Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changes in the market and operating environment.Analytical Thinking: Skill in analyzing data and making informed decisions.Effective Communication: Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
