Moctezuma Medjool Gardens in San Luis, Rio Colorado, Sonora, Mexico is looking for a Packing house General Manager who will be Responsible for the direction and comprehensive administration of the agricultural company dedicated to the packaging of dates.
**Duties and Responsibilities**:
- Develop and execute long-term strategic plans that ensure the company's growth and future viability.
- Align packaging operations with corporate objectives and goals.
- Direct packaging operations, ensuring efficiency and quality in the product preparation process for the market.
- Manage the annual budget, ensuring cost control and resource optimization.
- Maximize revenue and minimize operating costs to ensure the company's profitability and financial growth.
- Continuously improve packaging processes to increase efficiency and productivity, ensuring high product quality.
- Monitor the company's financial performance, implementing corrective measures when necessary.
- Lead and develop the workforce, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Ensure ongoing staff training in sustainable and efficient packaging techniques.
- Ensure all products comply with quality and food safety standards, as well as local and international regulations.
- Implement and maintain quality management and product traceability systems.
- Establish and maintain relationships with customers, distributors, and other business partners.
- Implement sustainability initiatives that reduce the environmental impact of packaging operations.
- Develop and lead a competent and motivated team, ensuring ongoing training and professional development for staff.
- Foster technological innovation and continuous improvement in all areas of the packing facility to maintain a competitive edge.
- Represent the company before governmental and community entities.
- Manage public relations and external communication to enhance the company's corporate image.
- All activities related to the position or any activity according to the company's needs.
**Required Qualifications**:
- Bachelor's degree in Agronomy, Business Administration or related.
- Master's degree (MBA or similar) preferred
- Fully bilingual English/Spanish

- Demonstrated experience of 10 years in senior management roles
- Demonstrated experience in managing large teams and diverse functional areas
- Deep knowledge of agricultural practices, packaging operations, and marketing of agricultural products

- Experience with Microsoft Office programs, especially Microsoft Excel
