**Primary Function of Position**:
The Payroll Assistant ensures that staff members are compensated for their work, gathering all information pertaining to work patterns and salary deductions, ensuring that this is captured accurately on our payroll software, in accordance with company policies and HR procedures; also provide employees with insight into payroll activities and work to resolve their queries.
**Roles & Responsibilities**:
- Ensures appropriate amounts/deductions are calculated and applied to the various accounts groups
- Validate employee data including changes in our payroll system (new hires, terminations, promotions, shifts, area, position, salary, etc.).
- Serves as liaison to employees and with third party payroll vendors to ensure payroll processing accurately reflects company specific pay policies.
- Review and validate savings bank loans for employees.
- Membership management of employee in IDSE portal (IMSS), including new hires, terminations and salary changes.
- Verifies compliance with federal and state payroll requirements, staying updated with changes in the law
- Propose and participate with third party on payroll system implementations and upgrades
- Documents payroll processes and procedures; may train payroll department staff
- Ensure employees fingerprint registration for attendance control system
- Manage employees' badges
- Elaborate welcome kits for new hires as part of the onboarding process
- Manage attendance control and payment of Practitioners (Interns program)
- Participate in internal and external finance audits related to employees' internal records control, workers compensation, tax filings and related documentation
- Manage digitalization of employee's files/records
- Keep updated Intuitive Mexicali Organization Chart for MDSAP audits
- Calculate bonus for Carpool Program and manage users registration.
- Calculate bonus of Referral Program for Payment
- Activation of bank accounts
- Manage pantry Voucher and Telework/Cell phone cards based on our benefits programs and policies
- Conduct manual data entry of cafeteria consumptions.
- Management of employee savings found and profit sharing (PTU) committees.
**Qualifications**:**
Skills, Experience, Education, & Training**:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field.
- Basic knowledge in Federal Labor Law and Social Security Law.
- Demonstrated ethical behaviors
- Familiar with Pre-payroll process
- English as a second language (60%)
- TRESS system
- MS Office (PPT, Word, Excel)
