Gathers financial data and performs financial analyses and reporting (e.G., profit & loss, balance sheet, cash flow, pricing, etc.) to influence decisions within the business and to drive cross-business initiatives (e.G., Mergers & Acquisitions). Drives the forecasting process (weekly, monthly, and long-term) by analyzing trends within the businesses and ensuring alignment with business- and corporate-wide objectives. Communicates and drives adherence to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and the organization's financial goals and policies. Has the fiduciary responsibility to represent financial results correctly both internally and externally. Ensures strong business controls.**What You'll Do**- Owns and executes payroll calculations and reviews with the support of time and attendance systems and payroll system.- Performs complex analysis of transactional accounting information and payroll payments for employees to support decision-making.- Typically, the first escalation point of contact for employee underpayment issues or policy issues related to the area of expertise.- Proactively identifies opportunities for improvements and makes recommendations.- Implements and assures effective business controls through review, analysis, and verification.- Support collection process when employees reflect, and incorrect payment- Validate salary change requests including calculating retroactive, final, and advanced vacation payments- Ensure all payroll change requests including direct deposit, tax withholdings, 401k, transit check, and other deductions.- Process bi-weekly and semi-monthly payroll- Performs payroll processing and validation including computing wage and overtime payments and calculating and recording payroll deductions.- Audit timesheets to ensure accuracy and completion- Partner with different teams including Human Resources on all matters involving employee compensation, benefits, and disability, payments, including 401K.- Manage the processing of new hire data, processing terminations, and ensuring correct posting changes in compensation, tax status, and miscellaneous with accuracy and timeliness based on HR changes.**Who you are**:- An associates's degree is strongly preferred.- Typically, 3+ years of work experience.- Preferred, 2+ years experience in an accounting environment.- In addition to the basic qualifications noted above, we find that individuals who are successful in this role have:_- Strong computation skills.- Fluency in English.- Excellent understanding of accounting processes
