.PAYROLL MANAGER LATAMThe Payroll Manager will oversee and assist in processing the orderly execution of accurate and timely payroll for LATAM based employees.
This role will lead and coach all payroll team members.
Furthermore, this role has the ability to maintain and optimize payroll systems used.
The supervisor plays an instrumental role in preparing data for any outside payroll companies involved in our process.
This role will prepare certain tax and business documents in order to fulfill regulatory requirements.Essential Duties & Responsibilities:- Oversees workflow to ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely; coordinates daily work activities and assigns workload as needed - Provides information, assistance and/or training to employees and staff; provides technical/procedural assistance; trains on payroll policies/procedures - Reconcile payroll prior to transmission and validate confirmed reports - Advises, interprets and provides direction to management on policies and procedures, tax laws and regulations involving payroll to ensure ongoing compliance.
- Load import files received - Manage garnishment process with 3rd party vendor - Oversee time and attendance processing and interface with payroll - Develop adhoc reports as needed - Evaluate, implement and document appropriate payroll policies and controls and payroll processing and system enhancements to increase efficiency and streamline processes - Problem solve and respond to issues/questions in payroll mailbox - Assists staff with general questions related to payroll- Research complex payroll issues for proper treatment and provide appropriate resolution - Validate and assist with accurate and timely quarterly/yearend processing, reporting and reconciliations when necessary- Process/transmit files to third party vendors.
- Balance payroll accounts by auditing information; identifying and resolving discrepancies; initiating journal entries.
- Maintain the payroll system as needed - Works closely with Payroll Director to assist internal and external auditors during audit process by providing documents, reports and other payroll-related reports upon request; implements procedural changes recommended by auditors.- Perform ad hoc payroll-related research and analysis at the request of the Payroll Director.- Prepare/process/transmit any necessary tax funding files and reports in a timely manner
