.Payroll Special Project Sr. Accountant for USA and CanadaJob Description - Payroll Special Project Sr. AccountantProvide technical support related to payroll/HR system integrations, testing, data analysis, data comparisons and validations.Responsible to act as a liaison between payroll, IT, benefits, HR and other departments within Nissan addressing payroll related issues, errors and ensure that payroll deadlines are met.Actively participate in future implementation projects including system and vendor related interfaces and all necessary testing.Monitor HR - payroll interfaces addressing errors timely and reporting mismatches and discrepancies between HR and payroll systems.Work closely with manager on reporting payroll KPI and payroll Dashboard.Responsible for a variety of payroll functions, including specific payroll processing tasks such as payroll interface validations and balancing.Handle preparation of payroll reports in PeopleSoft and the timekeeping systems and all other ad hoc reporting needed.Assist in day to day management and administration of payroll functions including the development, implementation and administration of policies, procedures and processes.Act as a consultant to payroll department staff, participating in training and providing other assistance.Identify and address any control issues within payroll systems and procedures.Assist the manager in the development and maintenance of payroll internal procedures.Oversee procedures and development, ensuring that procedures are maintained in accordance with company guidelines.Skills:Self-motivated, organized, proactive, excellent time management skills.Strong English speaking and writing skills.Exceptional customer service skills.Team player with the ability to multitask.Knowledge of US payroll required (processing, tax, garnishment); Canada payroll knowledge preferred.PeopleSoft knowledge required; SAP payroll experience preferred.Accounting experience required, with the ability to reconcile payroll records with general ledger accounts and ensure financial accuracy.Proficiency in accounting principles, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting.MS Office skills, with advanced proficiency in Excel for financial analysis and reporting.By applying for the advertised position, candidates acknowledge that Nissan Mexicana and its subsidiaries reserve the right to conduct a public conduct search due to the sensitive nature of the assets and information involved in the role.
