.Job Description: The Payroll Specialist in Mexico will be responsible for processing payroll accurately and on time, ensuring compliance with local statutory requirements, and maintaining up-to-date records for the company's employees.This role involves managing payroll data, handling employee inquiries, and supporting HR operations in the country.The Payroll Specialist will also be responsible for ensuring that all payroll processes are carried out efficiently and in accordance with local laws and company policies.This role may require working in a hybrid model, combining remote and on-site work as needed.Role & Responsibilities:Payroll Processing: Process the company's payroll every pay period, ensuring timely and accurate payment to all employees. Maintain the payroll processing system and records by gathering, calculating, and inputting employee data. Compute employee take-home pay based on time records, benefits, and applicable taxes.Statutory Compliance: Register and deregister employees for statutory social benefits with relevant local authorities. Handle statutory processing to ensure compliance with local requirements, including monthly, quarterly, and annual tax filings. Prepare final calculations for leavers, including separation packages, and ensure all related regulatory filings are completed as required.Data Management: Ensure that employee data is updated correctly in the payroll and employee databases. Generate and distribute payslips accurately and promptly to all relevant employees. Handle changes in exemptions, job status, and job titles in the payroll system.Employee Support: Respond to employee inquiries regarding wages, deductions, attendance, and time records, providing detailed breakdowns when necessary. Serve as an escalation point for employees, ensuring their issues and concerns are resolved quickly and efficiently. Support HR operations in the country by assisting with various HR-related tasks as needed.Compliance and Reporting: Adhere to payroll policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws. Identify, investigate, and resolve discrepancies in payroll-related tasks. Maintain confidentiality of employee pay records at all times. Complete payroll reports for record-keeping purposes or managerial review. Keep up-to-date with the latest HR trends and regulatory changes, communicating updates to the team as applicable. Assist in other ad hoc projects as requested, demonstrating flexibility and a start-up mindset.Requirements:Bachelor's Degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.Minimum of 5 years of experience in payroll processing.Deep understanding of statutory filing requirements in Mexico.Experience with SUA, SIPARE, IDSE (México).Strong knowledge of payroll regulations in Mexico.Proficiency in both verbal and written communication in English
