Ingredion is seeking a **Payroll Senior Specialist **to enhance our payroll team.
The Payroll Team provides support to the America's based businesses in the areas of payroll processing & controls, payroll related reporting, Audit Support and Payroll analytics.
The payroll senior specialist role will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of payroll and will report directly to the Payroll Supervisor.
In addition - the Senior Payroll Specialist will assist other team members in resolving payroll related issues and in answering payroll related inquiries.
**Responsibilities**:- Own and manage workflow of pay groups as assigned to ensure bi-weekly payrolls are processed in a timely and accurate manner- Process and audit employee updates as it relates to compensation, job changes, transfers, garnishments/levies and terminations- Resolve payroll discrepancies, process adjustments, manual checks- Provide excellent customer service to employee, vendor and manager inquiries- Responsible in ensuring that the appropriate approvals are received from the sites and performs follow-ups when required.- Respond to tax notices and all other mailings- Complete verification of employment and unemployment requests- Ensure that all Quarterly and yearly tasks are completed including required quarterly reporting- Respond to internal/external audits and reporting requests with the Analyst- Audit Time Off Benefits related to Leave of Absences and timesheet transactions: calculate, monitor, generate reports and follow-up on questions to manage balances- Work closely with Team Lead and Supervisor to continuously improve skills and knowledge of payroll- Audit 401(k) monthly, quarterly, and annually to maintain compliance with plan specifications and verify accurate funding to participant accounts- Performs analysis to identify any pay discrepancies and identifies plan for their resolution- Willingness to accept and complete other projects as assigned- Enforce and maintain SOX & RACM compliance for policies and procedures- Escalate Issues that arise with urgency- Other Duties as assigned**Requirements**:- University degree in Accounting or related field- 4+ years payroll experience including both exempt and non-exempt payroll and knowledge of union implications to payroll related processing- Strong knowledge of policies and procedures of payroll- Demonstrated ability to handle confidential material- Advanced computer skills, including Excel- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills- Strong organizational and time-management skills- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail- Excellent and professional verbal and written communication skills- Demonstrated understanding of multi-state/country wage and labor laws, Union obligations- Excellent communication, customer service and organizational skillsContinuous improvement attitude to seek out and implement best practices**Relocation Available**:No
