The Payroll Taxes Specialist NAM ensures employees are paid accurately and on time, managing payroll functions, adjustments, payment history research, and special payment runs. They also review and reconcile payroll accounts and handle tax-related tasks.
Job Responsibilities Run and analyze Time and Attendance Reports, verify timesheets, Payroll Reports, and Deduction Reports to ensure data integrity and accuracy.Generate payroll reports, including payroll registers, tax reports, statistical summaries, and ad hoc reports. Analyze and reconcile payroll data to resolve discrepancies.Perform special payroll-related calculations such as retroactive payments, time off accruals, overpayments, and incentives.Process payroll using UKG and instant checks as needed. Ensure timely and accurate payroll on a weekly and biweekly basis.Research payroll, garnishments, and tax inquiries for employees, managers, and business partners.Monitor weekly payroll changes and identify variances.Conduct month-end close activities, including payroll account reconciliation, journal entries, and posting.Maintain compliance to ensure audit integrity.Handle tax-related tasks, including preparing and filing payroll tax returns and addressing tax-related inquiries and issues.Required (basic) qualifications: Degree in a related field (recent graduate)Basic understanding of accounting principles, including payroll, payroll taxes, and general ledger reconciliationBasic knowledge of Excel, Word, and OutlookExperience with payroll systems such as UKG, ADP, Ceridian, Oracle, or WorkdayFluency in English.Knowledge of tax regulations and compliancePreferred qualifications: Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related fieldExperience with Dimensions with UKGFamiliarity with payroll regulations and compliance requirementsDesire to learn and grow in managing payroll for large organizations
