**SOFTWARE DEVELOPER/ENGINEER**
**Responsibilities**:Join a team of 120+ people working in (Phoenix, Arizona) using Agile and Kanban software development methodologies for a large US insurance company. Key daily tasks and responsibilities include:
- Co-design and develop software to support roll out of next-gen insurance products
- Individual contributor for end-to-end software development process for platforms organized using Agile Methodology (SAFe)
- Collaborate in a cross-functional teams to develop, test and integrate.
- Develop software that will integrate with various external databases such as PostgreSQL, SQL Developer, Cassandra DB, AWS DynamoDB
- Analyze user requirements, translate business requirements into technical documents defining the software solution
- Compile documentation as required by QA and SOPs throughout all phases of the SDLC and upgrades
- Implementing automated JUnit tests scripts
- Develop and utilize industry best practice data and object models and protocols for platform-wide communication and data processing and storage
- Design algorithms for efficient use of computer, memory, and networking resources
- Work with our Software Architect, Java/ETL Developers, and Quality Assurance Engineers to ensure that features are delivered on time
- Review automation tests scripts and ensure compliance across QA teams with emphasis in using industry best practices when using EIS Suite platform
- Challenge conventional software delivery norms to continue to drive and improve upon Agile and Kanban best practices
- Enhance the core platform to support emergent digital technologies
- Be responsible for the writing and maintain flawless Selenium WebDriver scripts for regression and functional testing using data driven framework
- Develop test code in Java language using Intellij, IDE and TestNG framework.
- Work on the Android module of the project, automating the app using Appium with Python
- Use Postman for manual testing of REST API functionality for feature work and fixes on production defects
- Implement Python scripting for automated testing of REST API functionality for regression setup.
- Use Firebug to inspect the XPath of the web elements and Eclipse IDE for Java development
- Develop and execute SQL queries to verify the proper insertion, deletion and updates into the Oracle supporting tables and cubes
- Perform SOA / web services testing using SOAP UI; write adaptors to test / invoke web services
- Perform End-to-End testing of database to check data integrity using SQL queries
- Document/Review User Acceptance Test reports and lead defect resolution, improving software and performing upgrades and maintenance as required
- Develop features and deliver fixes on production defects on microservices developed on various languages, frameworks, and development tools, such as Java, Spring Boot, Maven, Scala, Apache Tomcat
- Integrate distributed event streaming platforms such as Kafka to build and maintain real-time data pipelines
- Develop features, UX/UI updates, and deliver fixes on production defects on front end technology using HTML, CSS, React JS, Node JS, Angular JS
- Deploy and test external open-source observability framework for cloud-native software via Docker
- Query and sort through logs to perform root cause analysis using Splunk Dashboards
- Perform business rules maintenance and refactor using OpenL framework
- Analyze and resolve deployment issues via Jenkins
- Deliver performance upgrades using Memcached and AWS ElastiCache to save data to cache and avoid database performance degradation
- Build and utilize message queuing and pub/sub messaging services such as AWS SQS, AWS SNS, Amazon MQ to trigger requests to microservices

**Requirements**:
- 7+ years of experience with object-oriented languages (JAVA preferred)
- 5+ years of coding and testing experience with programming language like C#, React, or Python
- 2-3+ years of experience automating ETL programs
- 2-3+ years of experience writing SQL queries (Oracle DB experience preferred)
- 2-3+ years of experience with web-services testing (Restful APIs/SOAP)
- Demonstrated experience with Informatica
- Hands on experience with Maven
- Hands on experience with Jenkins
- Hands on experience with AWS
- Experience with JIRA, GIT and Bitbucket or similar tools
