Pcd Tooling Application Engineer

**Responsibilities**
- Work with both domestic and international customers on location on PCD Tooling Applications.
- Identify and define customer needs and then develop optimum product design solutions to satisfy customer requirements and specifications.
- Work with engineering, tool design, and sales teams to deliver solutions, define part processes and cutting tool requirements thereby achieving the highest quality parts at the lowest cost to the customer.
- Analyze and evaluate design parameters, including customer drawings and hardware for materials selected to optimize product, both new and existing.
- Travel to the customer site to provide manufacturing support by troubleshooting and resolving complex technical problems.
- Comply with all customer safety and environmental requirements when at the customer's facility.
- Represent Star Cutter Company/Star SU professionally when assisting customers.

**Knowledge and Skills**
- Advanced English skill verbal and written (German would be an additional bonus)
- Technical knowledge of carbide grades, coatings, hones, modes of failure, and corrective actions.
- Sound knowledge in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Ability to communicate clearly with management and customers.
- Strong work ethic with a focus on customer service
- Willingness to travel within Mexico with 60% travel anticipated and occasional international travel required.

**Education Requirements**
- Certificate, Associate, or bachelor's degree in engineering preferred.

**Experience Requirements**
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
