.In the position as a PD Academy Software Engineer, you will be learning and collaborating in our efforts to develop sensors, ECUs, models, and software. The person in this software position is passionate about the overall Software Development of new features.PD Academy Software Engineers will work with Requirements Engineers, Software developers, Testers, and Technical Product Managers in Agile scrum teams to deliver both product capability and automated tests for the assigned feature.**Minimum requirements we seek**:- The PD Academy Program is open to recently graduated engineers or engineers with less than 2 years of experience on the field.- Bachelor´s degree on Computer Science, Mechatronics Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or equivalent degrees.- Demonstrable Python or Java Development experience- Proven basic experience in Object-oriented SW development including unit testing. (coursework and/or research allowed).- Proven basic understanding of Linux commands and/or bash/shell scripting, SSH, etc.- Proven basic understanding of Windows commands.- Analytical with the ability to root-cause problems creatively and effectively.- Strong verbal and written communication skills.**Preferred Qualifications**:- Good wired and wireless network troubleshooting skills (familiarity with SW components, protocols/standards, etc.)- Awareness on secure coding practices and modern software development methodology, such as pair programming, test-first/test-driven development OR singular focus programming.- Understanding of industry Software Quality Assurance standards (ASPICE, ISTQB, ASAM, INCOSE, etc.).- Basic experience or awareness of defect tracking systems (ie: JIRA), and source code versioning control systems (GitHub)- Basic experience or awareness with CI/CD (continuous integration/continuous deployment) systems (e.G.: Jenkins).**Disclaimer**:Ford Motor Company is an equal opportunity employer committed to a culturally diverse workforce.
