.Job DescriptionTHE POSITIONThe Material Industrialization Engineer - CS - is responsible for material industrialization of alternative materials and new production technologies for Conveying Solutions. Foster the effective know-how transfer in cooperation with central departments. Contact and collaboration with internal and external partners for materials strategy focused on product requirements. Managing different projects to support the region reporting to the Head of Material Process Engineering CS. Support of CS plants in US, Mexico and Brazil.Knowledge ManagementFacilitate know-how gathering, filing and preservation for future use and support investment process.Communicate and execute the CT IAM PD MatPE strategy into the organization.Manage, review and steer Material Industrialization projects accordingly.DevelopmentWork with Material Team for industrialization and cooperation with central departments and external partners for implementation of new raw materials and production technologies.Support PUR and SCM on technical discussions regarding alternate raw materials.Foster material savings, phase-out of hazardous materials, cost improvement projects and activities according to product requirements and customer focus.Support the effective product and know-how transfers, technology for manufacturing processes and troubleshooting between facilities.Develop competent technical resources to meet the goals of the business.Keep contact with central departments on research topics.Cooperate with external partners (suppliers, universities, institutes).Supplier ContactContact and collaborate with suppliers (fabric, cord, polymers, rubber chemicals, etc.) to support product localization, quality, material property deviation and sampling processes.Check availability and capability of raw material sources.Implement new alternative material suppliers and support supplier audits.Lab TestingOrganize laboratory testing on alternate materials.Evaluate and interpret results.Support to protect and create intellectual property for the group.Material Inspection & ValidationEvaluation and approval of product and material properties during industrialization in accordance with product requirements.Foster material introduction at the facilities according to regional strategy.BenchmarkSupport competitor samples and situation analysis.EnvironmentEnsure environmentally friendly handling of materials, avoid the use and introduction of hazardous materials.Fulfill legal and customer requirements in collaboration with Corporate Health and Safety.QualitySupport on project/product complaints and investigations.Supplier Audits, Supplier Approval.WHY YOU SHOULD APPLYImmediate BenefitsPaid Time OffTuition & Employee DiscountsAnnual BonusEmployer 401(k) MatchAnd more benefits that come with working for a global industry leader!QualificationsBasic Qualifications:Bachelor's in Chemical Engineering
