BorgWarner PowerDrive Systems is currently looking for "dynamic, results driven" individual to join as a Process Engineer at our SLP Plant in Mexico.
In this role, and under direct supervision of the PLM, the Process Engineer will be primarily responsible for providing a world-class manufacturing and quality engineering support for manufacturing areas and product launch activities that meet or exceed customer expectations.
Responsible for implementing appropriate actions to maintain and improve manufacturing processes, in accordance with the requirements of safety, quality, productivity, cost and environmental care.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Responsible for Manufacturing Process engineering functions
- i.e.
Manufacturing Systems Design (MSD), New Process Technologies, Machine and Cost study.
- Develop manufacturing strategies / plan to support new product/projects.
- Develop and implement best-in class practices.
- Drive manufacturing cost reduction and productivity improvement.
- Drive OEE% and FTQ with continuous improvement.
- Provide technical support to engineering on cost effective and LEAN on new product design for manufacturing.
- Lead Kaizen and LEAN implementation for better VSM.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering (mechanical, electrical, mechatronics or manufacturing, preferably)
- Length of Experience in Similar Position: 3-5 years of related work experience in the automotive industry or global manufacturing company.
- Other requirements: Microsoft Office, travel availability and VISA.
Proficiency in English language.
