The group leverages this understanding of powertrain clutching technology to develop interactive control systems and strategies for all types of torque management.
BorgWarner PowerDrive Systems is currently looking for "dynamic, results driven" individual to join as a Project Manager at our SLP PDS Plant in Mexico.
In this role, and under direct supervision of the Program Manager Sr, the Project Manager will be primarily responsible to coordinate customer requirements and internal requirements with all operational areas of the plant, new projects (launches) to implement engineering changes.
Key Accountabilities- Act as a liaison between headquarters and BorgWarner SLP to meet the needs of projects and customers.- Act as a liaison between the customer (different PV, STA, DE plants), headquarters (PTC) and BorgWarner SLP to meet internal and customer requirements.- Theleader in the development and execution of the activities assigned to BorgWarner SLP, in accordance with the project management, generated by the Program Managers.- Inform the plant management of the progress of the programs against the plan, as well as any changes or deviations from the established plans.- Feedback on the status of each phase of project evaluation.
ongoing according to the criteria of each phase and monitoring of delayed activities.- Prepare the monthly progress report of projects to ensure that outstanding items are communicated and resolved.- Ensure the review of performance indicators during the launch and start of production.- Keep up-to-date tracking the level of project operations, including escalation of issues and risks detected by the team.- Provide and receive feedback among new program team members to make increasingly robust program management at SLP BW facilities.- Together with the Quality Manager, notify customers in case of defective material during the pre-production stages.- Follow-uo production control for new programs (FCST included).- Monitoring of production control for existing programs (FCST included)- Coordinate internally and with the client the validation runs (PTRs)- Ensure the availability and allocation of materials, supplies and FG.
(Sample builds)- Schedule and track Plant-related work assignments- Provide guidance and ensure the availability of resources related to plant actions.- Issue the SREA in the customer portal, as well as follow up on its approval and implementation.- Keep the engineering change databases (sharepoint, one note and team center) up to date.- Minimize freight dollars and premium inventory.
(Pre-production).- Minimize obsolete costs.
(post production).
**Qualifications**:
Education: Degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Mechatronics or similar Engineering.
Time of experience in similar position: 2 years or more in similar position.
Technical knowledge required: Strong planning skills, Management and dealing with suppliers, Production scheduling, Knowledge of PPAPs, Project Management, Basic Tools, Product Knowledge, Material Boom, Interpretation of Plans and Specifications.
Other requirements: Ford specific requirements: COVISINT, PPAP, SREA, Alerts, PTR, WERS, VPP, fluent English
