Flo Networks is a leading provider of telecommunications services between the US and Mexico.
We provide connectivity and managed services to Fortune 1000 companies, telecommunications, and cable companies over a fiber optic network that spans over 13,000 miles between both countries.
We have an immediate need for an experienced **Peering Coordinator.
** This position can be based in** Monterrey, Guadalajara, Queretaro, Ciudad Juarez or Mexico City, Mexico.

**The Role**:
**The Responsibilities**:
- Develop core network optimization strategies to improve network performance, manage capacity and increase cost-savings.
- Identify, develop, and maintain healthy working relationships with peering managers at ISPs, MSOs, CDNs and Telcos.
- Provide recommendations as to which ISPs, MSOs and Telecoms should Flo Networks establish direct interconnection with.
- Help to drive project deliverables for executing successful deployment of the CDN interconnection strategy.
- Assist in forecasting customer traffic levels and costs associated with those levels, making recommendations to Engineering, Operations and Finance on ways to meet bandwidth demand in all geographies, in-line with technical and business requirements.
- Internal and external presentations of peering and IP Transit related topics.
- Ensure long-term robustness and sustainability of our peering strategy and policy.
- Attend industry conferences such as Global Peering Forum and NANOG.
- Closely monitor BGP and flow data for trend analysis and data-driven decisions.
- Define, maintain and make data-driven decisions on data topology and building blocks optimization and new network build outs.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of technology trends and evolution to identify and evaluate solutions.
- Coordinate with internal departments the turn-up, migrations, and upgrades of PNI and Cloud interconnections.
**The Requirements**:
- Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Computer Engineering or related.
- Minimum of 5-years telecommunications industry experience.
- Must be fully bilingual (English and Spanish).
- Excellent people skills, teamwork, willingness to learn, ability to prioritize and coordinate tasks and assignments.
Friendly, confident, and able to meet deadlines.
- Ability to work in a cross-functional development organization with architects, engineers, project managers and product managers.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, verbal and written, facilitation and presentation techniques.
- Experience working with core network technologies (BGP, MPLS, IPV4/IPV6, etc.).
- Experience working with network development, engineering, or architecture, and ideally working closely with the main IP equipment platforms on the market today.
- Strong Traffic Engineering, BGP and IGP protocol, parameters, and policy knowledge.
- Proven negotiation skills.
