.We are hiring a People Analytics who will play a key role in assembling data to inform decisions involving diversity, equity, and inclusion, learning and development, leadership, workforce planning, and other program development and evaluation projects. You will use people data and research while partnering with leaders and content professionals in order to shape the workforce and employee experiences towards enhancing business results. Your process may include structuring problems into hypotheses, designing research plans, collecting and analyzing data, translating findings into recommendations, and clearly presenting your process to partners to advise decisions about our talent and people strategy. What you will be doing:Analyze existing people data and/or collect new data to answer research questions that advise talent strategies that enhance the businessConduct detailed reviews of scholarly literature relevant to research questionsDesign research plans that match the difficulty invested to the importance of the problemCollect new workforce and market data when needed using interviews, focus groups, surveys, internal technologies (e.G., applicant tracking system), external databases, etc.Use advanced statistical methods to explore data and test hypotheses (e.G., structural equation modeling, exploratory factor analysis, cluster analysis, multiple regression, time-series models, etc. (we use STATA and Python, but use of these specific tools is not required)Build insightful presentations with data visualizations (e.G., using Excel or Tableau), clear writing, and recommendations supported by the evidencePartner across the company (e.G. HR, Legal, Sales, Product Development, Finance, Corporate Strategy, etc.) to identify workforce research needs and catalyze action based on research findingsGain strong understanding of Steelcase business objectives, strengths and opportunitiesFacilitate conversations with senior leaders regarding workforce data, strategy and needs for additional researchDisseminate research findings with compelling data stories to a variety of audiences through multiple channels (decks, brief articles/postings, small and large group presentations, etc.)Who you are: Required Skills and CompetenciesBachelor's degree in field emphasizing people science (e.G., Sociology, Social Psychology, Economics, etc.)Minimum 2 years of proven experience conducting research in an organization or consulting environment, incorporating the needs of customers into research designs/timelines,Experience with statistical analysis using tools (e.G., R, Python, STATA, SAS, SPSS, etc.)Experience with survey design and analysis. Preferred Skills and CompetenciesMaster's degree in a field emphasizing people science (e.G., Sociology, Social Psychology, Economics, etc.)Ability to translate insights into experiences, decision-aids, or processes that put takeaways into action
