As People Operations Specialist at PayJoy, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our organization's growth by managing a wide range of human resources functions, including systems administration, new hire onboarding, performance management, and HR policy and procedure development.The ideal candidate will possess the ability to work independently, problem-solve effectively, and contribute to the development of a positive workplace culture.ResponsibilitiesUtilize and manage various People Team systems, including BambooHR, Lever, Small Improvements, and CultureAmp.Demonstrate proficiency in these systems and adaptability to learn new HR technologies quickly.Assist in the development, reimagining, and implementation of HR policies and procedures, receiving feedback and helping to reimagine our processes so that they meet everyone's needs.Proofread and edit People Team communications (company-wide emails, job descriptions, Handbooks, etc.)Assist in new hire onboarding and employee offboarding.Explain and monitor company processes to help ensure that everyone is on track.Coach and guide colleagues on company policies and practices.Partner with other members of the People Team to support and revise existing processes.Assist in the implementation and maintenance of performance management processes.Stay current with HR laws and regulations, ensuring company policies and procedures are compliant.Take on various additional responsibilities in HR as needed.RequirementsBachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.Minimum of 3 years of experience working on a multinational HR/People Team in a startup environment.Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.Ability to work independently and proactively identify areas for improvement.Familiarity with BambooHR, Lever, Small Improvements, and CultureAmp or similar HR systems.Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace, including advanced MS Excel / Google Sheets skills.Strong analytical, critical thinking, troubleshooting, problem-solving skills, and a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.Ability to independently manage complex projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.US HR experience is a huge plus
