**Job Description Summary**: Engine Performance engineering is a cross-functional engineering discipline that supports the whole life cycle of the product.
The performance engineer is responsible to address requests from Systems/Engineering/Services teams regarding the thermodynamic response of a commercial aircraft engine.
Activities supporting the diagnose and troubleshoot of engine performance health.
Understanding of the processes and tools used for these activities.
Accountable for the quality of own work.
**Roles and Responsibilities**
- Performs parametric studies regarding the interaction of the different components of the engine to deliver customer solutions.
- Developing conceptual knowledge of the effect of different ambient and operating conditions on the overall performance of the engine.
- Applies general knowledge of business developed through education or past experience.
Understands how work of own team contributes to the area.
- Makes use of statistical and physics-based analytical tools to provide answers using established procedures.
- Is capable of presenting his/her investigations and results in forums with highly specialized professionals with clarity and technically sound arguments.
- Collaborates with others to solve issues through creative solutions and constantly finds ways to improve on the quality and response time of his/her work
**Required Qualifications**
- Aeronautical/Mechanical/Energy engineering Bachelors degree or MSc degree.
- Fluent in English language (written and spoken).
- Good background on Thermodynamics, Fluid Mechanics & Statistics.
- Problem Solving Skills (Physical phenomena understanding).
- Computer Skills (Ms Office and one programming language, preferable C++ and Python).
- Skilled in Basic Statistics
