Role and ResponsibilitiesThe candidate will lead fulfillment of a portfolio of technical asset management contracts for solar renewable energy projects, provide engineering consulting services, and support the Portfolio Management, Onboarding and Technical Asset Management teams. Responsibilities include:
Fulfill technical requirements of the Asset Management contracts including:Evaluation of technical performance of client sitesIdentify data and performance issues and recommendations for improvementOversee Operations and Maintenance providers and provide technical feedback and supportTrack equipment and data outages and take steps to reduce frequency and durationAnalysis and feedback on spares strategyRoot cause analysis and problem resolutionMonthly reporting of site performance metricsTechnical Onboarding of new solar sites including:Drawing and design review of sitesReview of PVSyst and setup of expected energy modelData evaluation of site and feedback to client on accuracyProvide technical guidance on handoff from developer to O&M providerParticipate in onboarding and turnover calls with client, developer and O&M providerCompare design, model data and financial forecasts to identify gaps and issuesConsulting services including:Drawing and design reviewConstruction and commissioning consulting servicesPerformance analysis of underperforming sitesOther responsibilities:Leads creation of new standard operating proceduresDrafts and review technical analyses, reports and presentations to internal and external audiencesProvides leadership and coaching to other members of the technical asset management teamPreferred Experience3+ years of solar / renewable energy experience preferred.
Required Qualification & EducationThe minimum required qualifications for this position are as follows:
Bachelor's degree in engineering, or a related energy field from a four-year university3+ years of experience in power generation industry (solar / battery storage / renewable energy experience preferred)To perform the job successfully, the candidate should demonstrate competencies in performing the essential functions of this position by performing satisfactorily in each of these competencies:
