As part of our HP-wide Design for Sustainability program, launched in 1992, the Materials and Personal Systems Stewardship team sets environmental requirements and fuels sustainability innovations in HP computers, displays, and peripherals. The purpose of the team is twofold
- to ensure that HP products comply with worldwide environmental regulations and customer requirements, and to enable HP businesses to create sustainable products that realize HP's vision to make life better for everyone, everywhere.
**_ Job description and responsibilities:_**
Our team needs an organized and collaborative program manager who enables and inspires their colleagues to design and deliver sustainable computers and displays. This role includes
- Supporting the new product introduction process for the launch of new products ensures the certification of the product for applicable eco-labels.
- Working with industry groups and eco-label organizations.
- Supporting internal audits and supplier audits.
- Creating and managing implementation projects for new and challenging materials restrictions and repairability regulations that impact computers and displays.
- Creating and managing implementation projects for new and updated computer and display ecolabels including TCO and EPEAT.
**_ Education and Experience Required: _**
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, the Sciences, or equivalent.
- PMP/PMI certification preferred.
- Typically 2-3 years of experience with high-volume consumer electronics product design & development
- including product environmental compliance, ecolabel, and sustainability programs.
**_ Knowledge and Skills: _**
- Understanding of EPEAT, TCO, and other eco-labels related to personal system devices.
- Excellent data analysis, mathematical modeling, and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of computer energy efficiency regulations and ecolabel, and sustainability challenges and opportunities.
- Understanding of computer power architecture, and of the materials, hardware, and electrical components used in computers.
- Extensive experience with productivity software and tools including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint, and Teams.
- Ability to create and manage program schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans.
- Willingness to thrive in an ambiguous and dynamic environment.
- Self-motivated to make progress towards goals autonomously.
- Ability to balance multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Demonstrated experience coordinating and directing virtual, matrixed teams and resources.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; mastery of English and local language.
- Ability to effectively communicate program plans, proposals, results, and requests at the senior management level.
