.Company DescriptionOur Geology & Engineering experts provide valuable insight for natural resource exploration and development and support geothermal, CCUS and environmental programs for the energy transition.**Job Description**:CGG's Geology team is looking for an experienced Petroleum Systems Analyst to work within an integrated team based at CGG's office in Villahermosa, Mexico. Working collaboratively with other specialist disciplines within CGG, the individual will play an integral part in delivering a technically excellent result to our client. The key product deliverable will include a full regional to block-scale interpretation and evaluation of petroleum potential leading to a risked and ranked portfolio of new prospects.**Principal Accountabilities**- Responsible for undertaking, managing, and delivering technically excellent subsurface work in line with CGG corporate standards and industry best practice.- Work collaboratively and support other disciplines to guarantee that data and interpretations are both received and delivered so that each task is completed in a timely manner.- Coach and mentor peers and junior staff regarding the effective use of petroleum systems tools and best-practice workflows to assess prospectivity.- Collaborating closely with the client as required throughout the duration of projects.- Present findings in written reports and verbal presentations to client.- May provide training to clients in their discipline of expertise.**Technical Skills**- Broad knowledge and experience in Geochemistry and Petroleum Systems Analysis- Efficient user of industry software including PetroMod, Zetaware Suite, and iPIGI.- Demonstrated understanding of salt geometries and tectonic processes, and the effects of salt on heat distribution.- Knowledge of Play Based Exploration concepts and a demonstrated ability to incorporate all available data into products needed to identify new plays and prospects.- Understands and can quantify Geologic Risk and Uncertainty especially as it relates to hydrocarbon charge.In addition to the above, any or all of the following skills would be strongly preferred:- Basic seismic interpretation skills - preferably Landmark DecisionSpace or Petrel.- Knowledgeable in appropriate ranges and parameter selection to use in probabilistic volumetric calculations, utilizing appropriate software such as GeoX, Rose and Associates MMRA, or REP.- Ability to streamline work using Data Science, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence**Personal Skills**- Technical Leadership skills: proactively lead and tackle E&P subsurface challenges.- Project Management skills: proven self-starter with an ability to keep a project on track and deliver excellence.- Presentation skills: can prepare and deliver high quality professional presentations.- Creative Problem-Solving skills: analyzes situations in a timely manner, diagnoses problems, identifies key issues, and initiates most appropriate course of action
