.Responsible for **Piping Designer,** layout, checking of refining, chemical, and petrochemical facilities projects assigned under direction of the Project Coordinator. This designer will work closely with various discipline designers and discipline engineers to perform and coordinate piping design for projects assigned. Other duties will be as assigned.**Responsibilities**:**1. Conceptual Design**- b. Prepares drawings for design-related activities, including:I. Piping and Instrument Diagrams (P&IDs).Ii. Plot Plans.Iii. Equipment Location Plans.Iv. 3D Equipment Modeling.V. 3D Piping Modeling.Vi. 3D Piping Specification Database Entry.Vii. Piping Isometrics.Viii.Piping Plans.Ix. Piping Details.X. Piping Design and Drafting Checking.Xi. Site Work in Process Facility.**2. Detailed Design**- a. Analysis Abilityi. Performs analysis or calculations as assigned.Ii. Designing for Safety incorporated into drawings.Iii. Responsible for design compliance with Owner criteria.- b. Detailingi. Assists the Project Coordinator with production of specifications.Ii. Assists the Project Coordinator with presentation drawings, and other deliverables as required by the Project Coordinator.Iii. Code compliance review with design professional.Iv. Maintains discipline checklists for Design Manager to review.V. Participates in coordination review sessions.Vi. Coordinates work with other disciplines as to dimensions and interference to minimize deficiencies, errors and omissions.Vii. Uses Benham-Haskell standards and procedures.- c. Construction Documentsi. Produces well-organized, finished design documents of good appearance, accuracy, clarity and correctness, adhering to team and discipline standards.**3. Construction Support Job Description**- Subject to final approval of Project Coordinator, checks shop drawings and submittal data for conformance with contract documents.- Shop drawings returned on schedule.- Responds to field/construction questions as directed by discipline leader.- Creates inspection reports and punch lists.**4. Planning, Scheduling and Profitability**- Assists the Project Coordinator with drawing planning, production, management and adherence to schedule.- Meets scheduled key dates.- Discusses progress regularly with Project Coordinator.- Advises Project Coordinator of changes.- Design to budget man-hours.- Bid review participation (design vs. estimate).**5. Project Management**- a. Project strategy enforcement - proposal, Contract Documents.- b. Records notes of meetings and telephone conversations and review with Project leadership.- c. Adheres to established company standards and policies.- d. Maintains orderly work file, prepares clear well-written memos/correspondence.- e. Assists Project Coordinator by providing required information on timely basis and keeping supervisor apprised as to progress of the work.**Education/Experience**- High School Diploma or Equivalent is required. Associates Degree is a plus
