.The Production Planner is responsible for defining the daily, weekly, and monthly production plan and evaluating all the variables in the process to ensure that production objectives are achieved. The production plans typically have a time horizon of about 0-13 weeks and 1-15 months.This job contributes to Nutreco's success by ensuring a high level of competence within the Supply area and ensuring a smooth and cost-efficient flow of our production operations as an integrated part of the SC process. The process of production planning aims to draw up, monitor, and alter an optimal production plan for the assigned part of the supply network based on the consolidated demand plans, taking into consideration predefined service level agreements, inventory levels, and planning parameters to realize the requested performance at the lowest possible cost.The Production Planner plays a crucial role as a liaison between Demand Planning, who is the commercial liaison, and Operations.Job Description:JOB CONTEXTProduction planning, Material Planning, and Demand Planning are key roles in the IBP process, as the forecast they deliver will enable operations to meet the production targets timely, efficiently, and cost-effectively. The Production Planner combines various information from sales, supply chain, procurement, and operations to properly plan the products that need to be produced.KEY ACCOUNTABILITIESProduction PlanningCreates the Production plans based on the approved demand plan (forecast) enriched by inputs from the commercial teams.Understands and anticipates business developments and translates these into the Production plan.Secures Production plan constraining in case of supply restrictions and shares the results with internal stakeholders.Co-prepares the Supply review meeting.First point of contact for the Demand Planning team and Customer Service teams.Production SchedulingTranslates the Production plan/customer orders into an optimal production schedule.Communicates detailed planning to ensure optimal service level and efficient usage of resources.Continuously monitors production output to ensure that actual production meets scheduled production output.Monitoring Planning (PDCA-cycle) & AnalysisMaintains Production planning master data and systems/software.Drives continuous improvement of the Plant(s) and production lines conformance to plan.Prepares and monitors the planning related KPIs.QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCEUniversity degree in the field of supply chain, operations, economics, technical engineering or similar, with at least 3-5 years of work experience in a comparable position.Experience with forecasting and sales & operations planning in the animal feed industry or any other industry such as FMCG.Excellent knowledge and expertise in ERP tools and Microsoft Office.Excellent communication and negotiation skills
