**EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE**:Bachelor's degree in Business, administration, international trade, Industrial/mechanical Engineer or related careers.Intermediate English requiredExperiencie: 4 years as planner buyer in metal mechanic industry/MRO purchasing- Well versed in purchasing techniques and logístical supply chain- Excellent customer service skills- Excellent oral and written communication skills to include the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from both internal and external customers.- Must have knowledge of Materials Requirement Planning (MRP) systems- Must have intermediate skills with MS Office Suit.Competencies: Driving results, Teamworking, collaboration & influencing, initiative, driving change, strategic decision making**GENERAL Functions and Activities.
**- Obtain and analyze supplier quotations and place purchase orders at the lowest cost consistent with quality requirements and urgency of need.- Assist the Purchasing Agent in the investigation of alternate, equivalent materials and sources of supply.- Arrange the appropriate and prompt physical/financial disposition of rejected materials while taking effective corrective action to prevent recurrence of the same.- Establish and execute blanket orders utilizing a class cost matrix contracts and logistics agreements which effect proper inventory management.- Manage supplier programs through the use of established goals and time frames regarding: cost reduction, quality improvement, supplier certification, lead time/inventory reduction and delivery performance.- Work as a team member with the Purchasing Agent, management and cross-functional groups to manager established commodity direction and to ensure the accomplishment of strategic commodity goals.- Practice preventative problem solving.
Have the cognizance of market trends and changing supplier position regarding strength and weakness, with the ability to analyze the same.- Communicate professionally in both oral and written format to internal and external contacts.
Prepares reports and correspondence in a clear, precise and grammatically correct manner.- Expedite the supply base in a proactive manner to provide proper linkage of required and promised delivery dates
