The Planner/Buyer is responsible for supply chain management. Responsibilities will include coordination and planning of all activities related to the production of finished goods (FGs), release schedules, and analysis of forecasts to ensure timely completion of manufacturing orders and the availability of resources (Procurement, Planning, Inventory control, and logistics).To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Duties and key responsibilities include:Achieve on-time delivery targets.Convert customer demand (Sales Orders) into a production schedule (netting out on-hand FG inventory and available machine/labor capacity).Minimize line disruptions and prevent materials-related line downs.Effectively manage inventory to meet ITO, DOS, and E/O targets.Oversee purchasing activities to ensure MRP messages are followed, exposure is minimized, and PPV is minimized; past due orders are tracked and minimized.Oversee critical processes including Sourcing Team escalation, CCN, MOQ/EOQ BSM escalation, std cost verification, etc.Participate in cost-reduction and CPI programs.Oversee performance to inventory targets and exposure guidelines.Oversee performance to quarantine resolution.Support, if necessary, in other duties required by the Company.Minimum Requirements:Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, e.G., Business, Engineering, Management, etc.Two to three years of progressive experience in Supply Chain/Materials/Procurement/Planning/Inventory Control management.Experience gained within a manufacturing environment.Strong knowledge of ERP systems; medical industry knowledge/experience preferred.Strong verbal English and Spanish communication skills, including effective negotiation skills.A proven track record of cost savings; APICS C.P.I.M. or CSCP certification preferred.Strong and proactive problem-solving skills, including techniques that identify and resolve root causes.Proven leadership and management skills, including effective time management and multitasking skills.Strong analytical and organizational skills.
