Our client is a leading automotive aftermarket filtration technology manufacturer, they are looking to hire a Production Planner for the currently expanding plant in Ensenada, B.C.**RESPONSIBILITIES**- Executes complex operations such as production planning and materials management.- Maintains key master data parameters in the system for adequate system processes.- Elaborates a feasible and efficient factory production plan and creates corresponding work orders for the areas or products in charge to meet customer demand.- Follows up and leads to resolution of production issues that are putting supply commit at risk.- Ensures and publish results for key metrics for the areas or products in charge ( production adherence, supply commit adherence, backlog, inventory levels, etc.)- Validates and works with the corresponding teams to ensure the material availability required to complete production needed to meet customer needs.- Communicates clear, precise and on time information required for the correct operation of the factory, material availability and supply commits.- Proposes and actively participates in process improvement programs and initiatives ( Lean, Six Sigma, Cost reduction etc. ).**EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED**- University bachelors degree- Typically 2-4 years of experience in a supply chain function.- Advanced English Level**KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS**- Developed understanding of supply chain processes and functional contribution to business.- Developed IT knowledge and skills (e.G., SAP, Oracle and MS Office Suite).- Solid problem solving and analytical skills.- Strong communication skills (e.G. multi levels in the organization, negotiation skills).- Developing business acumen.- Good project management skills.- Familiarity with Lean Sigma methodology.
