Planning bills support MRP requirements when these is not a customer order assigned; allowing the external supply base to receive a component forecast perform capacity planning to support segments' requirements. This role will assist in master scheduling for plants and assembly lines, in coordination with S&OP Supply Planning, Sales, and Operations.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:These duties are not meant to be all-inclusive and other duties may be assigned.- Review the recommended changes to current planning bills of material percentages, based upon history and actual configuration sales.- Coordinate with Marketing, Inside sales, GPSC, and Operation on the recommended changes to ensure history will repeat itself and that others do not see a change in customer buying patterns.- Add or change assembly production schedules for plants or assembly lines in coordination with the SIOP Supply Planning team, GPSC, Sales, and Operations.- Create planning bills of material with the right mix or percentage of configurations that need to be applied to MRP so suppliers will get the correct component forecast to support actual purchases.- Coordinate with manufacturing systems on all Change Notices (CN) or configurator changes that may require a change to the planning bill percentages or structure.- Design, implement, manage, and publish metrics that will track the accuracy and performance of the planning bills.- Learn the material management processes that support work order release, inventory transactions, SIOP process, finished goods inventory controls, and intercompany transactions to move finished goods from region to region.- Approve all major sales changes where configuration changes are touching contract manufacturing plants, or major options (special paint, engines, booms). Coordinate with Operations, and the Contract Manufacturing plant for approvals, and respond to Inside Sales.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field.- Two (2) or more years of experience in production planning and scheduling or a related area.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:- Experience with bill of materials.- Knowledge of configurator logic, sales options and accessories, product assembly process, ERP system and sequel, Engineering drawings and change process.- Strong Communication and presentation skills
