**GENERAL SUMMARY**:
**PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:
Supply purchased parts to the assembly line.
Determine the parameters of the supplying parts with the collaboration of suppliers and conceive the optimum delivery schedule.
Analyze, plan, and adjust quickly the orders according to the changes in the production schedule and/or the engineering change (ECN) and/or inventory adjustment.
Take the necessary measurements for the flow of the excess inventory and suggest actions to be with the obsolete parts.
Coordinate the orders and the forwarding of the parts in subcontracting (F30).
Update the inventory in consignment at the suppliers (F30).
Manage "crises" of supplying from the suppliers by using a temporary schedule of deliveries while considering the supplier output, the times of transit, the customs, etc.
Supervise and follow up with the suppliers.
Obtain the approval of the supplier, to negotiate the generated deliveries, and additional expenses (production start-up, set-up changes, overtime, special freight), also obtain and analyze the type of necessary freight at the time of fast change of the production schedule with our third-party logistic partner (Transfreight).
Analyze the inventories (parts of production, excess, inventory of supplier) to maintain them on an optimal level by guaranteeing provisioning uninterrupted to the line.
Analyze, validate, and treat the lots of non-conformity parts.
Evaluate and determine the measures to be taken for the non-conformity parts: sorting, return to the supplier, or repair (to negotiate the price and to send the order).
Work out strategies with people of supplier quality insurance (SQI) of production like with the suppliers at the time of problems of quality.
Change back to supplier the costs generated by responsibility (special retrofits, sorting, freight, stops line).
Require the immediate collaboration of the supplier in the situation of emergency.
Receive and transmit the request for deviation of the suppliers.
Develop and maintain a good business connection regularly with all the suppliers.
Organize meetings with the suppliers when necessary.
Solve the problems connected to the differences between the bill of lading, the acknowledgments of delivery, and the invoices.
Obtain and convey all documentation necessary for the departments of transport and customs, when necessary.
Follow-up on the implementation of necessary packing and shipping instructions with the suppliers.
Plan and control the movements of returnable packing with the packaging project leader and buyer.
Analyze, validate, and modify the rating associated with the deliveries within the framework with the Vendor Rating System.
Plan and control the movement of the trailers dedicated in terms of dates and qualities with Transfreight and supplier.
Any other duties or responsibilities as assigned by the department supervisor.
Performs activities related to safety.
**KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED**:
Minimum of 4 years of scheduling/planner experience in a manufacturing environment is Required
Bachelor degree
Excellent attention to detail, time management, and administration skills
Bilingual (Spanish and English), both oral and written
Knowledge in Excel, and Word (SAP a plus)
Knowledge of Six Sigma approach
Strong planning and problem-solving abilities
Good listener and communicator
Proactive
Team spirit and great interpersonal skills
Ability to manage stress and work under tight schedule
Industrial Engineering Degree or Administration Degree
