.Eaton's ES AMER Sector division is currently seeking a Planner.**What you'll do**:**PRIMARY FUNCTION**:**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS**A. Runs reports and provides data analysis to ManagementB. Assists team with obstacles that arise including material shortages, quality, tracking Engineering Change Requests and Drawing Change Request Forms electronically or other process obstaclesC. Releases Kanban requirements material via MRP through MAPICS and AS400D. Interpret data to make the right purchasing or planning decisionsF. Acknowledge and Maintain Shortage datesG. Submit and Resolve Change Management WorkflowsH. Review schedule and provide updates in production meetingsI. Maintain supplier promise dates in MAPICS browser for every purchase orderJ. Maintain the Kanban system: order sizing, stock levels, part set up, part deletionK. Serve as backup for other plannersL. Champion the use and improvement of Pull/Kanban techniques.M. Help to identify and disposition of excess or obsolete inventory while minimizing costN. Maintain system integrityO. Other duties as assigned**Qualifications**:**SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE****Basic Qualifications**:- Requires a BS Degree- Prior experience working in a manufacturing/materials role**Prefereable Qualifications**:- Three or more years of experience working in a complex Materials Planning role- Experience leading Kaizen and continuous improvement eventsPosition Criteria:Communicate effectively with other departments to ensure parts and components are delivered on time and meet quality specifications.Flex into other departments as needed to ensure customer and Eaton expectations are met.Works with programs like AS400, Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook and VistaUses electrical schematics and blue prints to identify parts and components neededLI-DS1**Skills**:**ADDITIONAL INFORMATION**Health and Safety Responsibilities - Employee1.
