This segment is classified into two main product groupings – carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications. The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use.Key ResponsibilitiesMeet customer's expectations of on-time delivery. On a daily basis, assures customer orders are acknowledged utilizing available resources and materials management techniques.Maintain raw material flow from vendor/supplier by establishing partnerships. Interfaces between production and customer service representatives.Support department and organization growth by analyzing constraints and suggesting projects to implement solutions, as well as meeting the department objectives on more complex product families.Analyzes customer order requirements and production capacity to acknowledge shipping dates for assigned production areas. Develops and maintains Master Production Schedule as required by the area supervisor.Monitors inventory levels and implements strategies to maintain it at optimum levels, in order to optimize inventory turns, efficiencies and ensuring supply.Interfaces with corporate customer care representatives (CCR's) at on-going basis in order to review and/or modify customer requirements as needed.Communicates issues/concerns related to schedule changes caused by design problems, capacity limitations or material shortages to appropriate levels within the organization.Establishes and maintains communication with internal/external suppliers to improve lead times, and other issues pertaining to raw materials.Ensure finished goods and components are being received and forwarded to the manufacturing facility receiving department accurately & in a timely manner.Ensure accuracy of lead times, safety stock levels, and master data are current.Coordinates lean supply chain efforts to establish strategies as buffering management in order to reduce waste and ensure customer satisfaction
