Today, HPS is deeply engaged in product solutions for OSP Communication utility purposes, and has been actively growing that segment of the business. HPS roots have historically been in high voltage transmission, distribution, substation, underground products used by electric utilities. It operates in three segments: Electrical, Power, and Industrial Technology.**Duties and Responsibilities**:- Research sources of supply and alternative materials, document competitive quoting, review and process purchase requisitions for materials and supplies.- Follow up on back orders of manufactured and procured materials, expedite delivery of orders, make special arrangements for delivery as needed, and communicate to the respective departments the expected delivery dates and potential shortages- Plan the manufacture of all products through the production facility in accordance with assembly procedures and standard times. Release production orders in the required time frame.- Ensure purchasing and planning documents are processed in accordance with standard operating procedures.- Update SAP data as needed and work with vendor and/or accounting to reconcile PO discrepancies
