Planner/Buyer II
Job Summary: A professional responsible for overseeing production scheduling and raw material procurement for the shafts area machining component in a manufacturing plant.
This role involves close collaboration with managers and team members to identify production needs, set quotas, and ensure timely delivery of products.
The Planner II will also manage inventory, take ownership of the planning process, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate Workflows: Manage and optimize workflows for one or more products, ensuring efficient production processes.
- Production Scheduling: Develop, modify, and direct production schedules to meet order requirements and deadlines.
- Priority Management: Identify and prioritize products and operations to optimize workflows and meet order requirements.
- Raw Material Coordination: Plan and coordinate raw material needs with warehouse and shipping staff to ensure continuous supply.
- Inventory Management: Oversee inventory levels of raw materials, ensuring accurate tracking and timely replenishment.
- Efficiency Analysis: Analyze output information during the production process to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Reporting: Submit detailed reports on production quality, consistency, errors, and other factors affecting production and revenue.
- Supplier Negotiation: Negotiate delivery times and costs with suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of raw materials.
- Ownership: Take full ownership of the planning process, ensuring all aspects are managed effectively and proactively.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance production efficiency and effectiveness.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- Experience: Minimum of 4 years' experience in production planning.
- Skills:
- Strong time-management and organizational skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficiency in logistics and inventory control.
- Experience with office software, Oracle, and Kanban systems.
- A mindset focused on continuous improvement and process optimization.
- Travel: Occasional travel may be required.
- Language: Proficiency in English (90% or higher).
