The Supply Chain & Logistics Planner schedules projects for manufacture and assigns demand to assigned fabrication plants and reports to the Supply Chain organization. This role is critical to setting up manufacturing facilities to excel at delivering value to our customers as it negotiates and balances capacity utilization against customer project timelines and upstream handoffs.
DUTIES AND RESPONSABILITIES Confirm project is ready for first-pass schedulingCompare project demands to network capacity(ies) and apply production, loading, & shipping datesCollaborate with Commercial organization on handling exceptionsMaintain level scheduled production volumes within planning horizonCollaborate with other planners to execute cross-network supply and balance LTQualificationsPreferred:Bachelor's degree in supply chain, logistics or operations management preferred.Must have:3 to 5 years of experience in Supply Chain and/orLogistics as a planner.Team-orientated contributor; seamlessly support individual and team objectivesAbility to establish priority amongst multiple demands to ensure the 'right work' is being executedEffective relationships within planning and supply chain, upstream with commercial, and downstream with manufacturingExposure to Kaizen / continuous improvement highly preferableIn lieu of above, willingness to work in small teams to analyze and improve workflow and existing standardsStrong deductive reasoning, critical thinking, and problem-solving skillsWillingness to spend time on shop floor to understand how work flows through the plants and impact to cycle timesAdditional informationWhy work for Cornerstone Building Brands?
