- **Planning and Production Manager**_
This role is responsible for coordinating and leading a broad range of operational duties related to the day-to-day functions associated with Strato's planning, ERP data management, material supply, and operations. The Planning Manager's key responsibilities include, but are not limited to, ensuring inventory targets are maintained to ensure Strato's ability to service our markets, oversee an enterprise-wide production and material planning function, support the expediting function to ensure material deliveries, produce and publish key reports for management, manage the site planners to ensure each site function is robust and supportive of the company goals. This role supports the plans for organizing logistics and supplies, creating, and overseeing master schedules and calendars, and monitoring inventory lists and supply orders. The Planning Manager serves as a liaison among internal Strato's internal business units and production and purchasing. This role will also be responsible for leading and managing the Operations part of the SIOP process for selected divisions within Strato's. This includes coordination with various factories and departments to ensure that customers' demands are met through accurate planning and inventory management.
**Reporting Relationship**:
This position reports directly to the Vice President of Purchasing, Procurement, Supply Chain and Logistics while the site planning functions report to this role.
**Responsibilities**:
- Manage the planning team to ensure appropriate materials and production at each Strato's site while supporting the supply chain management strategies.
- Maintain responsibility for forecasting, production planning and transferring materials to our sites.
- Ensure the department is performing effective analysis, design, and implementation of customer focused demand and targeted supply strategies, with the goal of growing revenue and supporting customer service while managing costs responsibly.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to implement effective planning while responding to issues including, but not limited to, data integrity, supply disruptions, or transportation shortages to resolve critical inventory shortfalls and customer issues.
- Review and maintain inventory forecasts.
- Support purchasing by providing forecasts, as needed to suppliers.
- Benchmark historical forecasts and incorporate market outlook to drive materials.
- Support purchasing vendor management to enable smooth functioning of supply chain variables across Strato.
- Manage reporting for supplier on-time delivery.
- Design and distribute key operational reports to management to convey operational status and facilitate critical decision making.
- Continuously innovate Strato's parts planning operations to gain efficiency in terms of pricing, supply, packing, procurement, distribution, allocation, and information management.
- Update all system information in a timely and efficient manner.
- Create strategy and tactical plans to achieve organizational goals relative to delivery performance and inventory levels.
- Identify and implement systems and processes improvements within the supply chain to enable overall business process improvement.
- Develop existing forecast and supply programs to improve current days of inventory and cash cycle.
- Support new product development and end of life process to minimize impact to overall supply chain health.
- Work with Sourcing and Purchasing to meet customer requirements and propose changes when needed.
- Assist in the resolution of MRP and planning discrepancies.
- Review and update forecast, production schedules and material requirements through SIOP process using connected ERP tools and BI systems.
- Review material shortages, stock outages, and safety stock levels to meet customer requirements through exception management transactions.
- Analyze inventory levels and product demands using ABC Inventory Analysis, Root Cause Analysis and review large data sets using Excel and adjust safety stocks for optimum service & inventory.
- Use ERP Systems and Excel to assess impact to materials availability from customer sales opportunities affecting demand for product above plan.
- Design and implementation of improved SIOP business processes and toolsets.
- Facilitates a consensus sales forecast.
- Promote collaboration between operations and planning to agree a master plan and backlog recovery actions.
- Other tasks as assigned by direct manager and/or Executive Team.
**Skills Required**:
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain planning.
- 8+ years of forecasting, planning, procurement, and distribution experience.
- 5+ years of direct/ hands-on experience with planning/forecasting systems.
- Excellent project and vendor management skills.
- Strong analytical, presentation, and negotiation skills
- Excellent communication skills across all levels of the organization.
