We help serve a diverse range of industries such as healthcare, automotive, aerospace, renewable energy, robotics, shipbuilding, and so much more.Position SummaryAssists Plant Controller in multiple areas of accounting, including variance analysis, sales analysis, standard cost development, inventory control, PPV analysis, and scrap analysis.
Prepare daily, monthly, and quarterly reports as needed as well as participate in month end close.Primary Responsibilities:Manage month-end closing and prepare monthly financial statements and other operational reports for plantPrepares all appropriate general ledger entries and monthly reconciliationsMonitors/Reconciles inventory cycle count program and develop program for remaining materialsPrepares daily, weekly, and monthly reports on sales, production, and labor hoursAssist with data collection to support budgets and forecastsCapital project cost tracking and monitoringDirects preparation of Budget in tandem with annual Cost Roll and prepares necessary supporting documentationPrepares month-end corporate reports (inventory, variances, sales/cost of sales activity, etc.
)Analyze plant labor, scrap, operational spending and inventory transactions for optimal manufacturing levels.Ensures internal & external controls established for audit requirements, responsible for SOX compliance testing & documentation.Special assignments and/or projects as assigned.Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in accountingPosition requires at least 2-3 years' experience in an accounting position preferably with a manufacturing environment.Strong knowledge of US GAAPPossess a strong understanding of all of the financial and operating aspects of the manufacturing areas of responsibility.Cost accounting experience recommended.Organized and detail oriented with ability to meet deadlines and ensure accuracy of deliverables.Ability to effectively communicate and work closely with management, peers and staff.Demonstrated expertise in MS Office and SAP financial software.
