**Job Description Summary**: Support the plant operations by developing an effective Plant Accounting Staff as well as assume a leadership
role as a member of the Plant Management Team. Maintain the integrity of the Juarez Plant variance
measurements and reporting by following Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), executed within
the appropriate controls. Drive opportunities to improve the operation and/or reduce cost.
Administer the policies, procedures, controls, and financial reporting requirements for the facility.
- Safeguarding of assets (inventory, fixed assets, cash, etc.).
- Effectively manage the resources of the Plant Accounting Staff and information Systems Staff
Management not only implies the organization of individual's tasks for completion in an efficient and
timely manner, but also the direction and development of staff members.
- Oversee the monthly closing process by ensuring all entries are accurate and booked in a timely
manner. Perform variance analysis and provide explanations to management.
- Publish a monthly financial package, which summarizes the operating results of the Juarez Plant,
Inventory Analysis, and Production Activity and Headcount details.
- Perform analytical support to the Plant and Division including Capital analysis, Cost Improvement
Project Analysis, Product Cost Analysis and Other as required.
- Develop a full-year forecast including mass loading requirements. Prepare the development of the
annual Plant Latest Best Estimate (LBE). Report Juarez Plant performance to LBE and use this as a
baseline in the annual budget process.
- Direct the developments of the Juarez Plant annual operating budget. This includes Analysis of
material and labor standards, Direct labor spending and man load requirements, Direct spending and
analysis, Capital budgeting requirements, Cost improvements goals, new product cost analysis.
- Coordinate and report on the annual physical inventory.
- Participate as a member of the Plant Management Staff by providing insight into the operating
performance, develop the staff's understanding of the financial results, provide financial analysis, and
objectively evaluate operating options/decisions.
- Develop operating procedures/systems to improve financial and management reporting as required.
- Ensure that all accounting activities within their responsibilities follow GAAP and are executed within
the appropriate guidelines of internal control.
- Develop 1-3-year costs saving plans with quarterly updates for review.
- **Participate in the communication of the organization's Quality Policy and Objectives.**
College graduate with a bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting or Finance
(certificate). CPA, CMA or Master Required (certificate).
- A minimum of five years' experience at cost accounting in manufacturing environment (demonstrable
on the resume)
