JAC Products has an opportunity for a **Plant Controller** to join our team in Pedro Escobedo, Queretaro, Mexico. The Plant Controller is responsible for delivering the annual financial plan, the overall financial performance of the plant, and for the achievement of all financial targets.
**RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Strategic business partner to the plant manager and plant leadership.
- Ensure the facility achieves all of its financial goals.
- Ensure accurate bill of materials and labor routings, as well as unit costs, for the facility.
- Develop accurate manufacturing overhead rates in accordance with corporate policies.
- Provide insightful financial analysis that supports improved operational results.
- Ensure new programs launched at respective facility achieve the minimum financial targets.
- Accountable for inventory management, ensuring that the plant's inventory controls are adequate and encompassing. Ensuring the following: reconciling inventory balances monthly, identifying overages and aging material issues, and coordinating periodic physical inventories.
- Prepare appropriate variance analysis and direct improvement activities from the analysis.
- Performs all other functions as required; included are any work assignments relating to the efficient flow of work within JAC Products Inc.
- Manage and develop Accounts Receivable and Payable functions.
- Leads implementation of new Accounting standards.
**SKILLS**:
- Strong Accounting and basic US and Mexico GAAP knowledge
- Advanced/expert knowledge of Microsoft Office with a heavy emphasis on Excel (database extraction, creation and use of complex formulas and functions, pivot table creation and maintenance, etc.)
- Must be detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills
- Ability to travel via land and air.
**PREFERRED EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS**:
- Bachelor's Degree in finance or accounting required
**PREFERRED EXPERIENCE**:
- 3 - 5 years of experience in an automotive manufacturing environment
- 3 - 5 years of Controller experience within the region of hire
- 3 - 5 years of previous supervisory experience to include general & cost accounting
- Experience with Microsoft Office software
