MISSION
The Plant Manager is responsible for the administration of both technical and administrative activities related to the production of Fuel Systems: quality, deliveries, customer satisfaction, safety, health and environment, human resources, manufacturing and engineering processes; Production program, supply chain, purchasing and finance. This includes the responsibility for planning, management, coaching, development, implementation, measurement, analysis, profitability and efficiency. The Plant Manager represents OPmobility C-Power within the Mexico Region and is responsible for compliance with local legal regulations.
Responsibilities & Activities
Define the strategy for the operation:
Plan, organize, direct and run optimum day-to-day operations to exceed our customers' expectations.
Increase production, assets capacity and flexibility while minimizing unnecessary costs and maintaining current quality standards.
Be responsible for production output, product quality and on-time shipping.
Allocate resources effectively and fully utilize assets to produce optimal results.
Implement strategies in alignment with strategic initiatives from the OPmobility corporate and provide a clear sense of direction and focus.
Monitor operations and trigger corrective actions.
Collect and analyze data to find places of waste or overtime.
Commit to plant safety procedures.
Develop systems and processes that track and optimize productivity and standards, metrics and performance targets to ensure effective return on assets.
Establish the plant budget, goals, objectives and indicators and relate them with the global objectives, such as: Safety, productivity, efficiency, quality, profitability and environment.
Plan and direct all plant activities, ensuring that all products are of the highest quality and deliver right on time to the client, at the lowest cost.
Promote a safety culture and avoid an impact to the environment:
Maintain the equipment and the facilities in excellent security and functionality conditions.
Develop and maintain a healthy working atmosphere.
Lead the policy of EHS and ensure that it is aligned with corporate objectives.
Review periodically the development and maintenance of SAMASS to ensure continuous improvement in the environment, safety and health performance.
Establish objectives and goals about the environment according to legal and corporate requirements.
Develop and maintain internal restraints to ensure compliance with local, state and federal regulations.
Promote continuous improvement:
Lead POMS and excellence manufacturing, as well as corrective activities through participation and training of the working team.
Comply with corporate requirements:
Assure CQA results for the plant.
Satisfy the Code of Conduct of C-Power, following the rules, procedures and policies that apply in the plant.
Guarantee the operation of quality and environmental systems according to required standards, including but not limited to: IATF16949, ISO14001, OHSAS 18001, etc.
Promote discipline and consistency of business, measuring processes to ensure tracking, accomplishment and improvement of financial performance indicators.
Develop and maintain positive and effective relationships between workers and the community.
Conduct LPA Audits.
Ensure specific requirements from the client are met.
People Development:
Develop, facilitate and maintain a training plan for all workers, including succession plans.
Share a trusting relationship with workgroup and recruit, manage and develop plant staff.
Provide coaching, mentoring and personal development to any position that requires it.
Teach and train all staff regarding the Plant Scorecard and promote involvement related to the ScoreCard.
Ensure the closure and effectiveness of corrective actions in your area and those actions assigned for a non-conformity of product, process, system and/or security.
The position has authority to stop processes if any activity puts at risk the physical integrity of a collaborator or the risk of producing or shipping nonconforming product. It also has the authority to stop shipments if there is a non-compliant product or risk of shipping non-conforming or suspect product. Additionally, it can stop processes in case of detecting fluid spills and abnormal emissions that may cause damage to the environment; immediate notification for correction is required. Properly dispose of the different types of waste generated in your work area.
Responsible to review and answer Quality Rejects
(at least 3 persons), responsible for commercial agreements and responsible to answer quality issues from a Dealer.
PROFILE REQUIREMENTS
Personal Background:
Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical, Business or related Engineering. Master's degree (Desirable).
10+ years of experience in a manufacturing operation.
Extensive knowledge of manufacturing processes, finance, business systems, materials management (planning, purchasing, inventory management) and management principles.
English C1.
PC Management (Advanced).
