OverviewThe Plant Manager is responsible for all aspects of the manufacturing operation at El Lago Molding and Assembly plant including safety, quality, delivery, inventory, personnel staffing requirements, and equipment.
The person in this position will be a strong driver for a safe and quality environment, customer focus, and continuous improvement.
The ideal candidate must be dedicated to achieving operational excellence and meeting company strategies and objectives.ResponsibilitiesProvide leadership to continuously improve a culture of safety and quality.P&L responsibility for the El Lago Molding and Assembly Plant.Be a strategic thinker and have a proven track record of operational excellence, including utilization of lean manufacturing techniques and tools.Lead the involvement of production, maintenance, quality, engineering, and materials personnel in a team approach to problem solving and continuous improvement.Work and collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve deficient molds in the plant.Ensure mold insourcing efforts are successfully implemented.Coordinate resources to support New Product Development and Special Projects.Have good working knowledge of and help implement world-class injection molding practices.Drive the 5S deployment throughout the facility.Be a leader and motivator in a productive and collaborative working environment.Foster creativity and innovation within the manufacturing team.Act as change agent to improve bottom line performance through Lean and 6-Sigma manufacturing techniques including, but not limited to: Managing for Daily Improvement (MDI), adherence to plan, Standard Work, 5S, SMED, Root Cause Analysis, SPC, DOE, Kaizen, etc.Execute corporate and strategic plan goals including safety improvement, quality improvement, customer service level achievement, inventory turns, and supply-chain flexibility.Lead continuous improvement projects for productivity improvement and cost reduction.QualificationsMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor's degree in engineering, operations, or business discipline.At least 10 years of experience in operations management, including demonstrated knowledge of Supply Chain Management and Lean Manufacturing.Excellent communication, interpersonal, leadership and technical skills.History of increasing responsibilities with proven track record of achieving excellent results.Previous P&L responsibility.Experienced managing operations in Mexico.Bilingual – English and Spanish.DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:Master of business administration.Experience with plastic injection molding operations and scientific molding.Master Molder.#J-18808-Ljbffr
