We collect excess blooms of sargassum seaweed (a brown floating seaweed) that are clogging the beaches of the Caribbean and upcycle it into biomaterials. In the last 15 years, sargassum has expanded its range from a small part of the Atlantic Ocean to inundating the Caribbean as a result of warming waters and fertilizer runoff from the Amazon River Basin. The seaweed clogs the beaches and as it rots releases methane, a potent greenhouse gas, and other local air pollutants. Our team is passionate and collaborative. Our work is fast-paced and challenging as our young company evolves. Our products are sustainable and help make the world a better place.#J-18808-Ljbffr
