**Spearhead the direction and performance of our recently established plant in Saltillo, Mexico.**

**An insight to the role**
A diverse and challenging role, leading plant operations, the key focus will be to improve and increase productivity and efficiencies, together with effectively coaching, developing and managing a team of 200 people, fostering an engaged and positive work environment. The manufacturing technologies in the plant include injection moulding and finishing/printing (laser, inkjet and hotstamp) and produces LID tags (visual and RFID) for the US and Canadian markets. The plant is less than one year old and will grow over time, with further technologies.
- Lead the plant's overall direction, coordination, and performance to achieve operational excellence.
- Ensure the production plan is feasible and meets 100% on-time delivery (OTD) targets.
- Collaborate with departments to manage stocks, equipment, staffing, and activities. Engage with department heads for technical expertise.
- Oversee all HR functions and budget responsibilities to support plant operations and financial performance.
- Direct the quality department to ensure production processes and methods deliver high-quality products consistently.
- Define and implement the annual plant roadmap, ensuring alignment with overall plant strategy.
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement and maintain high standards of quality and operational efficiency.
- Ensure appropriate staffing levels, maintain a safe and compliant working environment, identify training needs, and promote internal talent.
- Act as the plant's representative to customers, meeting expectations related to lead-time, delivery, quality, and costs.
- Implement preventative and corrective measures to meet customer demands and enhance product quality.
- Drive daily routines (QRQC, Gemba Walk, etc.), maintain KPI dashboards, and monitor performance against targets.
- Prepare and manage the plant budget, control production costs, and monitor overall production effectiveness.
- Ensure the plant can adapt to changes and maintain operational flexibility.
- Select, hire, train, and manage employees, ensuring alignment with company goals and performance standards.
- Contribute to a positive social climate and employee engagement through effective communication and participation.

**Key success factors**

- Recognised for your strong people skills and high emotional intelligence, you'll be able to demonstrate examples of how you've built high performing and engaged production teams.
- At least 5 years of progressive work experience in a similar role related to the manufacturing industry, or leading manufacturing teams for a multinational company.
- Demonstrated results in improving productivity and efficiency will be essential
- Self-motivated with a results-driven approach, with experience in implementing and sustaining performance through KPIs.
- Degree in industrial engineering or relevant field will be an advantage
- Experience in implementing a Lean and Six Sigma, or Operational Excellence culture.
- Certified Lean 6 Sigma Green belt and over is a plus.
- Knowledge for ISO9001 standard is a plus.
- ** Effective communication skills in both **Mexican** and English, written and spoken.**
