Plant Purchasing Sr Buyer

Objective This position will support in sourcing, analyzing quotes/proposals, negotiating price & terms, and making supplier selection proposals that fit the purpose (right quality & right lead time). Main Responsibilities Sourcing, analyzing quotes/proposals, negotiating price & terms, and making supplier selection proposals that fit the purpose (right quality & right lead time). Following up on payment issues and delivery when needed. Working with cross-functional/category teams for cost reduction projects. Ensuring approval of Purchase Orders in line with the approval process in PUR policy. Working in alignment with Plant areas to solve supplier shortage/delivery issues. Leading negotiations of PUR according to authority level decisions. Identifying and mitigating supply chain risks that will affect Plant production. Proposing and implementing cost reduction projects. Position Requirements Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Industrial Engineering, or related areas. 5 years of purchasing experience working in an automotive production purchasing environment (i.E., technical/commodity purchasing, purchasing project management, purchasing management, etc.). Proficient Microsoft Office user (i.E., Excel, PowerPoint). Professional interpersonal verbal and written communication required. SAP knowledge and experience.
